Captain Carter throws her shield at the reader with Agent Braddock right behind her.
Captain Carter #1 Review

Written by: James McKelvie Art by: Marika Cresta Coloring by: Erick Arciniega Lettering by: VC’s Clayton Cowles I’ve never been a big Captain America fan. Any superhero who purposely ties themselves to a country rather than fans doing that themselves (a la Superman) generally rub me the wrong way. No country is without bloodshed that […]

Justice League Incarnate #5 Review

Written by: Joshua Williamson, Dennis Culver Art by: Andrei Bressan, Jesus Merino Coloring by: Hi-fi Lettering by: Tom Napolitano Okay, I’m a huge Darkseid fan, but I have to admit, I did not know he had a wife. I also gotta admit, I don’t like the idea of Darkseid having human and understandable motivations. I […]

Emma Frost and Elektra got toe-to-toe on the variant cover of Devil's Reign: X-Men #2.
Devil’s Reign: X-Men #2 Review

Written by: Gerry Duggan Art by: Phil Noto Lettering by: VC’s Clayton Cowles I didn’t review the first issue of Devil’s Reign: X-Men, so I do want to say that while it was enjoyable, it felt low energy for the stakes it had. This issue is far better and balances the comedically low energy of […]

Batman: Killing Time #1 Review

Written by: Tom King Art by: David Marquez Coloring by: Alejandro Sanchez Lettering by: Clayton Cowles I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again, Tom King books usually go one of two ways. Some of his books are written better for trade, and then there are books you can’t help but froth at the […]

I like the idea of having new heroes actively learning from characters like the Titans. In the beginning, this series had a really strong art style […]
